USA Women win Gold! USA Men grab Bronze!
The 2010 World Championships of Wheelchair Basketball were hosted in Birmingham England and were fantastic! The USA Women defeated Germany in the Gold Medal Final, thanks to a game winning shot by Becca Murray! (the last of her 25 points). Germany was very talented, but the relentless USA ladies put all their work into defense and it paid off big. Congratulations to everyone involved with the USA Women’s team. Gold again, can’t say we’re surprised! The German women’s team took home silver, and Canada received bronze. The USA Men’s team rallied after a disappointing loss to Australia in the semi-final, and won convincingly against Italy to bring home the bronze. Top scorer’s for the game included Joe Chambers with 19pts, Paul Schulte with 12pts, and Will Waller with 10pts. Thanks to everyone who followed and support us! The next World Championships are in 2014 in Korea!

We're so proud of all of you!!! Go USA!

Day 9 of Gold Cup - USA faces the Aussies

We executed pretty well and put Australia on their heels after 3 quarters of action. Australia shot outstanding from the free throw line, led by Justin Eveson. Obviously not the out-come that we wanted but we played hard and gave our best effort. We are slated to play Italy for the bronze

Day 8 of Gold Cup! USA vs Turkey

Today was one of the craziest days of wheelchair basketball I've ever been a part of. Two large upsets happened today. Italy defeated Canada, and France defeated Great Britain. You could never have told me that Canada and Great Britain would not be playing for medals in the 2010 World Championship. Well, France and Italy pulled off the upsets and they're pitted against each other in one Semi-final, while, the USA and Australia face each other in the other Semi-Final. Australia is almost entirely made up of professional ball players. They're also extremely physical and talented, the reigning Gold Medalists from Beijing. We need to play smart, aggressive basketball tomorrow. We'll give it everything we have. Go USA!!!

USA Men will play at 11:30am EST on court 1. Women will play Canada in their semi-final game at 1:30pm EST.

Day 6 of Gold Cup 2010 - USA vs Great Britain

Well its never fun to lose. Especially when you don't feel you've played your best. The good news of our match today was that GB's leading scorer John Pollack was held to 10 pts. The bad news is that all his teammates stepped it up. Final score 78 - 66. This places us as the #2 seed going into the 'crossovers'. Basically, the day after tomorrow we'll begin a single elimination bracketed tournament, where losing one game means you lose your chance at winning it all. We match up against Turkey on Wednesday. Let the post-season begin.

The Men play Turkey on Wednesday at 11:30am EST on court 2
